INTERESTING FACT
Lion And Tiger = Liger
What happens when a male lion and a female tiger breed? A Liger - the largest of all felines. A liger looks like a giant lion with diffused stripes and some male ligers grow sparse manes. These massive creatures are 10 feet long on average and weigh about 700 lb (320kg). Liger love swimming - trait common to tigers but lacking in lions. Ligers have been bred in captivity, deliberately and accidentally, since shortly before World War II. The largest liger alive today is appropriately named Hercules and lives in Jungle Island in Miami.

Yea, if there in the wild they can be quite hard to handle!!!
they only seem friendly because they have been hand reared. Try go pet one in the wild see what will happen lol :)
Thanks to this site, i got an "A."
Lions and tigers can breed because they are still from the same species and have enough DNA in common to be able to mate successfully, ligers cant mate because since tigers and lions are different enough that if they mate together there offspring will most likely be infertile
BANG!
So next time you wanna get a drink of OJ in the middle of the night you better put on those tube socks.
Does anyone know off the top the details of why they can't mate and continue their species Line? I'm curious why a lion and tiger can have a kid together but, that their offspring is unable to breed with a like family's offspring. specifically
Nice grammar.
