  1. He is a legend! Japanese people rock my socks!

The two people in that vid (not Yashiro Nakamatsu) try to make Yashiro look bad. I agree some of his inventions are silly but those boots he invented looked so cool and so much fun but those guys just made them out to look like a joke.

    I want those boots! <3

  3. The British seem to have condescension built into their language and mannerisms. The man deserved infinitely more respect than they gave him, and they totally disregarded the fact that English wasn’t his first language. The Brits made him out to look as if he is a phony when in reality he is, quite simply, an amazing person. Had I been there I would have put myself out there to “correct” those fools and honor Mr. Nakamatsu. I hate that kind of behavior; it’s a reflection of how certain cultures perceive even their less successful members (tv show hosts) to be superior to other cultures “stars”. Nakamatsu, however, outshines them in both character and intelligence.

  4. If you are not joking, he’s full of ****.

    > With over 3000 patented inventions
The number “3,000” can not be confirmed by any source.

    > Nutrition Nobel prize
Such a thing does not even exist! Nakamats received Ig Nobel Nutrition prize in 2005, by the way. Ig Nobel, not Nobel.

    > chosen by U.S. Science Academic Society
What the hell is the Society? Does it even exist?

  5. I saw a documentary film about this man.He make an impression of strange, very proud with himself and looking on others with contempt. His three wheel car and so called “water engine” looks very susptious…

  6. This fact needs to be removed. He is an ego maniac who is somewhat of a laughing stock in Japan.

No one in the scientific community regards him as one of the great minds of history.

The Nobel prize for nutrition DOES NOT EXIST. He does NOT hold 3000 patents. In fact, most believe he holds less than 100 that can be accurately documented.

  7. you are all crazy—no one really cares what you have to say–if its critism…and also why would you care…if you have a compliment put it…dont critize…/-.-/-.-/-.-/-.-/-.-/-.-/…

He won the IG Nobel Prize…it’s not an actual Nobel Prize, but they do give them to real scientists. What Nakamats does is invent and patent things that leads to the new things we recognize. So, when he says he invented the solar cell, what he means is he developed a technology or concept (and patented it) that made solar cells as we know them today possible. Nakamats is a salesman of his ideas and inventions as well and likes to do corny things to get peoples attention. He is a comical figure in Japan, but certainly not a laughing stock.
