What Is Vitamin B17?

Vitamin B17 – Amygdalin.

Vitamin B17 has been banned by the FDA since 1980 for promotion as a cancer cure.  Here is what WebMD has to say about Vitamin B17 and cancer.  Here is another viewpoint which generally draws the same conclusion.  There is no legitimate clinical data that says Vitamin B17 can cure cancer.

Here is what the Dana Farber Cancer Institute published:

  • The idea that apricot seeds could fight cancer arose because apricot pits contain a substance called amygdalin.
  • Laboratory research into laetrile, a synthetic version of amygdalin, has produced contradictory results.
  • While amygdalin and laetrile haven’t proved safe or effective as cancer treatments, apricots themselves are a good source of Vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and dietary fiber.

The FDA banned promoting raw apricot seeds as a cancer cure, but they are available and promoted as a dietary supplement.  Many feel these are in fact very helpful.

Imagine the world without cancer. It has been proven that cancer is a deficiency disease caused by the lack of Vitamin B17 (Laetrile). Today there are more people making money from cancer than dying from it.  That is the one of the main reasons why Vitamin B17 is disapproved by FDA and cancer associations.  You can do research and find that pharmaceuticals companies pushed FDA to disallow sales of raw apricot seeds in the United States.  Raw apricot seeds are known to have abundance of B17 vitamin.

Vitamin B 17 Cancer

G.Farben, Bristol Meyers, Standard Oil. Jason Vale served time for selling apricot seeds on-line while promoting them. The FDA advised Vale to refrain from promoting these items according to alleged promises which they may prevent or cure cancer. Despite these warning, Vale continued to market amygdalin products called apricot kernals, Laetrile and vitamin B 17. In 1998, a bundle was purchased by undercover FDA researchers from the company of Vale and was convicted of selling drugs. The major ingredient in seeds which cancer is called laetrile, commonly referred to. Was the first person to utilize laetrile in remedies in 1952 upon his discovery of vitamin B 17.

And his research team found that amygdalin has its cancer killer capacities since it contains. Not all cyanide chemicals are poisonous. Humans continuously eat produce with cyanide, about 1, 200 kinds of foods have it. Detoxification of cyanide can take place at all tissues of the body, but from the liver. The dose levels and degeneration of amygdalin in humans and lab animals is recognized and recorded. No evidence of accumulative or severe toxicity has been observed in all animals given doses at excess of 100 times the highest dose given in humans. In accordance with wiki, Amygdalin has been encouraged in a modified form named Laetrile as a cancer treatment by Ernst T.Krebs, Jr.Under the name Vitamin B17, but studies have discovered it to be ineffective. It’s also not a vitamin, and may cause cyanide poisoning. The promotion of laetrile to treat cancer has been described at the scientific literature as a canonical example of quackery, with Irving Lerner of the University of Minnesota he describes is the slickest, most sophisticated, and certainly the most remunerative cancer quack promotion at medical history.
