What Kind Of Schooling Is The Best For Your Child’s Education? Know Your Options Here.

A huge portion of a person’s character is impacted by the schooling they receive, the mentors they have and the knowledge imparted to them from a young age. Every little detail can make a huge impact on their minds, positive or negative. Hence, parents must give due consideration to selecting the kind of school they would like their ward(s) to join.

In the 21st century, there are multiple options to choose from since every child is unique, coming from different backgrounds and thought processes. To select the right type of schooling for your child, you can read all the options given below.

Types of Schools

As a guardian, one would want to make an informed decision after having carefully weighed their options. Following are the different types of schools parents and guardians may choose from:

  1. Public Schools- financed and administered by the government of the state, they strictly adhere to all the rules and regulations of the state and observe holidays accordingly. The quality of education is considered good and infrastructure varies across locations.
  2. Private Schools- funded by private individuals, groups and institutions, these schools are relatively expensive and usually to get through. They are progressive usually and maintain good standards of education and co-curricular activities.
  3. Magnet Schools- many consider magnet schools as a type of public school itself. They focus on STEM education, in simple terms. Apart from regular education, they specialise in a specific area and are masters in it. it varies from music and arts to the sciences.
  4. Homeschooling- this is a kind of private tuition as the child does not physically go to a school and is ‘homeschooled’ by the tutor(s). It is an informal education type and is usually opted for special reasons. Of course, the syllabus may be altered according to the parent’s or ward’s liking.
  5. Single-Sex Schools- as the name suggests, these schools are simply not co-educational i.e. they are either just boys schools or girls schools. These gender-specific institutions were introduced because it was believed that girls and boys have different interests, potential and thresholds when it comes to learning.
  6. Cooperative Education- is a kind that has growing popularity since it focuses on a very well-rounded education for children. It focuses on classroom learning as well as the practical aspects and work experience. By the end, children are much more knowledgeable individuals and can easily make career choices. They are also able to better conduct themselves in varying situations.
  7. Online Schools- students here again do not attend physical classes. They have classroom learning but virtually. T is usually from the comfort of their homes and requires a lot of extra effort on the part of both students and mentors. The teaching primarily or wholly relies on the internet.
  8. Charter Schools- these are regular schools but do not have any fees. They are run by independent individuals or groups.
  9. Parochial Schools- these types of schools are maintained and administered by religious bodies and hence may be orthodox in their ways.
