The name India is derived from the river Indus. The game of chess originated from India. The decimal code along with the place value system was an original Indian development. The highest cricket ground of the world is in Chail, approximately 2444 meters above sea level.

India has an enormous presence in the Asia region along with China, Japan, Russia, and Thailand. 

Budhayana an Indian mathematician was the first to calculate the value of \”pi\” mathematically and explained the concept of Pythagorean Theorem in the 6th century. The Indian railway is the largest employer in the world, over a million people work for it. The game of snake and ladders was discovered in India by Gyandev in the 13th century. 

 

The water flow of the Ganges is a state level secret in India.

India has more than 154,000 Post Offices.  This is more than any other country in the world and more than double than that of China.

India’s Kailash Singh stopped bathing for more than 38 years following his wedding.  He hoped this would help him create a son.  He has seven daughters.   

India is currently the 6th largest economy in the world and continues to strive to pass the UK as the 5th largest overall.  India faces many challenges and has onerous and challenging government rule and regulations to overcome.  This piece here highlights the major challenges and opportunities facing the economy of India. 

Cryptocurrency, and Bitcoin in particular, is another major challenge for the economy and the government.  The government has attempted to “ban” Bitcoin and Tezos or otherwise control it, but the people of India want a legitimate Store of Value.  

The government often tries to censor and control other emerging technologies as well.  Things like 4K HDR, live streaming, Youtube, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Tiktok have all run into some for or another of resistance in India.
