Covid-19: Funding crisis threatens zoo conservationon October 1, 2020 at 5:55 pm

At Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire, Sizzle the male rhino has been introduced to his new “girlfriends” in the hope they will breed.

But while they’re getting to know each other, 300 zoos in England have requested funding help from the government as the coronavirus pandemic threatens their conservation work, and potentially their future.
