Barry Corbin

Barry Corbin is a popular American actor who was born as Leonard Barrie Corbin on October 16th of 1940. Corbin was born to Kilmer Blaine Corbin Sr. and LaMerle Scott.

He is from Lamesa, Texas, and pursued his high school education from ‘Monterey High School.’

Barry went on to do his college at the Texas Tech University but he ended up taking a break to join the US Marine Corps. However, he came back after 2 years and completed his degree at the university.

Corbin has been present in the movie industry since 1964 and is still going strong. Not many people get to achieve this type of longevity in the business, which is quite impressive.

Corbin is widely known for his role in the famous television series titled ‘Northern Exposure’ from 1990 to 1995. He played the character of Maurice Minnifield on the show.

His second wife was Susan Berger from 1976 to 1992. And finally, he married his current wife Jo Corbin in 2016.

The actor has 4 children: 3 sons and 1 daughter. They are Bernard, Jim, Christopher, and Shannon. Barry adopted his daughter, whose birth mother had a relationship with him in the past during his college days.

Barry currently has an impressive net worth of $4 Million. This money comes from his successful and long-lasting career in Hollywood.

Most people aren’t aware of this, but Corbin has also appeared in video games and played in many theatres. All of these pursuits have contributed to his current wealth today.

He was inducted into the famous ‘Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame’ in 2009 back in Fort Worth, Texas. Corbin was also awarded a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the Estes Park Film Festival back in 2011.
