That is the meanest thing I've ever seen! Shining a light in his eye and banging a loud hammer near his ears and the poor dog has no defence no paws or nothing. that's so cruel! Animals have feelings too you know and where animals too so why don't thet prisoners from prison that deserves to die and use his head instead of a poor dog that just wants to be loved and be happy. I bet the people who did this are going to hell!! And by the way I bet they did cut his head off when he was alive because if its dead the brain and nerves die I think thoes sick people wanted a fresh dog. Also human's are only superior in intelligence, our body isn't as strong or as advanced as animals such as cats or dogs. Cats can create their own vitamin C, dogs have a greater sense of smell and can hear a wider variety of sounds. We are all equal in value, just not in abilities. All organisms eat and kill each other, why should it matter for us. As long as we are doing it for a good cause, I don't see the problem. There is nothing wrong with eating meat, other organisms do it too.

I think it is wrong to experiment on organisms, but we also should prevail in science. The dogs aren't helpless, they are just fine. People who say that are insulting dogs. How insensitive!

yes it is very disturbing to watch and if the dog was able to feel all of the test done on it then it is even more sad and inhuman to have conducted such an experiment but I could also see why it was done and something good came out of it.

How is it cruel? Did any of you consider that the entire point of the entire film was to show that organs could be revitalized AFTER death. This dog got nothing but a chance to be brought back to life for 3 days from the way they described it here. I highly doubt they picked a random dog and lopped off its head for the experiment. In fact the dog probably originally died from some other experiment they were doing so bitch about that.

This was the 1940's and though some dogs might have died, millions of people are saved. This progressed everything when it comes to technology. Artificial organs, hospitals as we know today, and keeping people alive that would have died from bleeding out.
